This 5-week series of workshops is geared specifically to Manitoba Arts Network members and your needs and desires to assess and improve your web presence. MAN members can register for any or all sessions. Registration is separate for each online workshop. Finally, we will use Zoom Meetings instead of Zoom Webinar to ensure a high degree of interactivity and a better learning experience.

To keep the arts front and centre in all of our work, we’re inviting artists as opening act for most if not all sessions. We will update that information as artists are confirmed!

This session goes beyond traditional web usability, navigation, user interface design and content. How to make Google your friend!

Wednesday, November 18, 2020 / 2 pm to 3:30 pm Central / Opening Act TBA

This session is a practical exploration – show and discuss – of essential Google services like Search, MyBusiness, Maps, Google Events, Answer Boxes, and Google Home (voice).

This workshop focuses on how web users today are most likely to see your website information (hint: increasingly, it will not be on your website). In this workshop we equip participants with the information and tools necessary to know how Google generates answers from your web content – rather than merely search results – and what you need to do to ensure your content is, indeed, discoverable on Google.
